*Yardages for Fussy Cutting
Extra fabric is needed to fussy cut.  Select the motif and count the number you need and buy that amount of fabric.  I buy a bit extra just to be safe.  Use the 5 1/2" wide center hexagon template to determine how many you can get from the fabric.  Placement is important--the pieces CANNOT overlap each other!!

(Option:  If you don't wish to fussy cut, you'll meed 3/4 yd for the centers)
CUTTING:
Cut one hexagon from Template Plastic using the
lines before 5 & 6 (parallel lines on finished
template will be 5 1/2" apart).  Use this
template to "center" the fussy-cut.  Draw
   around it and cut.

NOTE:  Centers, sides, corner pieces and borders must be "lined" with muslin.

Center Lining
--cut 4 muslin strips 5 1/2" wide.
Cut 23 hexagon centers from these.
Strips--cut all strips 2" wide.
From these strips cut the following lengths:
     For inner row--(17 strips needed)--cut 69 each:
         3 1/2"--5 1/4"
     For outer row--(20 strips needed)--cut 69 each:
         4 1/4"--6"
Sides & Corners (cut from both fabric and muslin)
     A--ends--4
     B--sides--8
     C & D--corners--4
Border (cut from both fabric and muslin)
     Cut 3" wide
