CUTTING:
    Cut muslin 9" by 9" (30 blocks)

    Cut centers---2 1/2" by 2 1/2"
          4 blue, 10 red, 16 white)

    Cut wide strips 2 1/4" wide
          For each of the following lengths, cut:
               4-blue, 12-red, 14-white
          Lengths---2 1/2"--3 1/2"--4"--5"--5 1/2"--6 1/2"--7"-- 8"

    Cut narrow strips 1 3/4" wide.
           For each of the following lengths, cut:
                4-blue, 12-red, 14-white
           Lengths--3 1/2"--4"--5"--5 1/2"--6 1//2"--7"--8"--8 1/2"

    Cut border 5 " wide.
