Great fun to hang those cute little ornaments on it!!
HINT: I use mine all year long to hang my collection of quilt pins.
This project uses the Foldy Stuff Amish design.
HINT: Cover lines B2 & B6 on the transfer paper to prevent them from showing through the light background fabrics.
Block size---7 1/2"
Need 10 blocks
(2 across, 5 down)
YARDAGES:
Background and inner border----Cream--------3/4 yd
Assorted greens to equal ----2 yds
Muslin---including blocks, liners for triangles
and borders------------2 yds
Red Outer Border----------------3/8 yd
Backing------------------------------1 3/8 yd
CUTTING:
Cormer pieces (cream)--cut 5 squares 7 5/8" by 7 5/8"
(plus muslin liner) Cut across squares diagonally to
make 10 triangles.
Assorted green strips---from 2" wide strips:
Cut 10 each of the following lengths: 12 1/4"--10 3/4"--
9 1/4"--7 3/4"--6 1/4" (rows 1 thru 5).
Cut 10 strips 2 3/4" x 12 1/4" for the first pleated strip.
Cut 5 green squares 4" by 4". (cut diagonally for corner
triangles--Fig 1).
Inner border (cream)---Cut 2" wide, plus muslin liner.
Outer border (red)-----Cut 3" wide, plus muslin liner.
Muslin---------------------Cut 10 squares 9" by 9".

CONSTRUCTION:
Step 1: Pin triangle (with liner) on muslin block. It will
cover area up to line B1.
Step 2: Stitch the 2 3/4" wide green strip on line B1.
Fold to line A1. Add the remaining strips and corners as shown in pattern.
